To graduate from institute, students must complete 14 semester hours (or 21 quarter hours) in approved institute courses and receive a worthiness clearance from their bishop or branch president. The 14 semester hours must include at least 8 semester hours (or 12 quarter hours) in scripture-based courses. At least 4 of these semester hours (or 6 quarter hours) must be in Book of Mormon studies.
